Description
Helen recreated Claude Monet’s ‘Bouquet of Sunflowers’. She was inspired by the yellow sunflowers as it reminds her of gardens. Helen used layers of handmade paper with PVA glue to form most of the picture. She then used a technique we call “punching” to individually punch out petals in various shades of yellow and layered them on top of each other for texture. She framed her art in an A3 white frame.
This piece was entered into the 2022 IHC Art Awards but was not selected as a finalist. This does not mean that it’s not fabulous!
